Updated: 3 days ago

Langford, BC — Panache Cycling Sports Ltd. is excited to announce that registration for the Langford International Bikefest presented by Westhills, is now officially open.  The fifth annual edition of the event brings back  the return of the coveted Canada Cup to the City of Langford with the introduction of the 94Forward Pacific XC as a UCI C1 Sanctioned event on March 13-14.  It also kicks off the Island Cup XC racing series on March 15,which offers fun racing options for participants of all ages and abilities.

“Langford Bikefest continues to position the city as a leading cycling destination on the global stage, bringing together professional athletes alongside first‑time riders in a celebration of sport and community. The Jordie Lunn Bike Park and Langford Gravity Zone offer a one‑of‑a‑kind setting for all ages and abilities, encouraging riders to build their skills and push their limits,” said Scott Goodmanson, Mayor of Langford. “Events like this support local businesses, boost tourism and strengthen our economy, while showcasing the vibrant and welcoming spirit of Langford.”

The 2026 Langford Bikefest marks the first year that Westhills joins as the headlining sponsor, a major partnership that underscores the community’s commitment to active living and world‑class sport development. “Partnering with the Langford Bikefest aligns perfectly with our vision for a vibrant, active, and connected community.” Said Rob Muller, Sales and Marketing Manager from Westhills. “We’re thrilled to support an event that brings together elite athletes, local riders, and families for an unforgettable celebration of sport and outdoor living.”

This year’s 94Forward Pacific XC Canada Cup on March 13-14 is expected to draw significant attention thanks to the integration of a high‑performance training camp hosted by 94Forward. The camp will bring some of the country’s strongest athletes—and select international competitors—to Langford for a focused block of training and racing. Their presence reinforces the Jordie Lunn Bike Park’s growing reputation as a national‑level training hub. “Our strategy is to build a generation of Canadian talent in mountain bike, which for us includes cross country and gravity.  We have mountain bike athletes from across Canada descending on the region for months prior to this event and after.  They are all looking to take advantage of the climate and world class facilities only available here.  As an original investor in the Jordie Lunn bike park this event is a fitting evolution of our commitment to this sport.  We look forward to all the athlete, coaches and parents coming to the region and Langford.  On behalf of our Board and Chair Kelly Mann, I would like to thank the City of Langford and Westhills for joining us in providing this opportunity.”

Organizers say the new partnerships with Westhills and 94Forward strengthen the festival’s long‑term vision. “From the very beginning we envisioned the Langford Bikefest to evolve into a major international celebration of the mountain bike.” Said race director, Jon Watkin. “We have achieved that and look forward to inviting the best racers in North America and abroad to converge in our little mountain bike paradise.”

On Sunday March 15, Local mountain bike enthusiasts and recreational riders will have an opportunity to race the same racecourse as the pros with the Bici/Broad St. Cycles Grand Prix which kicks off the popular Island Cup XC racing series.   The racing format will incorporate ability-based age group categories while offering participants the look/feel of a world cup venue.

The Jordie Lunn Bike Park Clubhouse will be the focal point of the festival with amenities such as Coffee/Food with Rhino Coffee and Bicycle Sales/Services through Bici/Broad St. Cycles.

About the City of Langford

The City of Langford has become one of Canada’s most dynamic hubs for outdoor sport and cycling sits right at the heart of that identity. As one of the fastest‑growing communities in British Columbia, Langford has invested heavily in recreation infrastructure, trail networks, and purpose‑built facilities that support both grassroots participation and high‑performance development.

A major pillar of that reputation is the Jordie Lunn Bike Park, a nationally recognized venue that blends world‑class cross‑country trails, pump tracks, jump lines, and skills zones. It has quickly become a training ground for provincial and national athletes while remaining fully accessible to families, youth, and new riders. The park’s growth has attracted organizations such as Cycling BC, Cycling Canada, and Nolan Riding, all of which use the facility for camps, coaching, and athlete development.
