City of Langford announces hosting of 2025 National Mountain Bike Championship with Sept 7-8 pre-event celebration.

With the announcement that the City of Langford will be hosting the 2025 Canadian Mountain Bike Championships, mountain bike enthusiasts are invited to the Jordie Lunn Bike Park to on September 7-8 race to pre-race on the trails that will be used for next year's championship event.

On Saturday September 7, racers will take part on the Broad Street Cycles XCC Short Track. This explosive format of racing is featured at the World Cup level where racers in each category tackle a short <2km course and are limited to 25 minutes of racing. With high speeds and the constant fight to pass, spectators will be thrilled with the nail-biting action.

On Sunday September 8 is the Rhino Coffee Super XC. This race format combines the mass start of cross country racing with the gravity speeds and technical downhills of enduro. Unlike Enduro, racers are timed for the entire duration of the event so choosing the right bike for both climbing and technical descending will be crucial. Downhill sections will vary by ability level.

The event will take place at the Jordie Lunn Bike Park and Langford Gravity Zone & Nature Trails: world class recreational facilities that attracts tens of thousands of users and visitors every year. Named after cycling legend, Jordie Lunn, the park features progressive dirt jumps, paved pump track, skill zone, beginner/advanced/expert trails, and a clubhouse facility with eatery and bike shop.
